Muslim Must-Know: Hadith Section

This section introduces selected Prophetic sayings (ḥadīth) that highlight the foundations of faith, worship, and good character. Each ḥadīth is explained with key lessons and benefits. Intention: Actions are judged by intentions; sincerity is essential. Innovation: Any act introduced into the religion not taught by the Prophet ﷺ is rejected. Hadith of Jibrīl: Defines Islam (5 pillars), Imān (6 articles of faith), Ihsān (worshipping as if seeing Allah), and belief in the unseen. Morality: The best believers are those with the best character. Tawḥīd: Swearing by anyone other than Allah is shirk. Love for the Prophet ﷺ: True faith requires loving him above all people. Brotherhood: A believer must love for others what he loves for himself. Qur’an: Surah al-Ikhlāṣ equals one-third of the Qur’an. Dhikr: “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah” is a treasure of Paradise. The Heart: Its uprightness determines the righteousness of the whole body. Shahādah at death: Whoever’s last words are “La ilaha illallah” enters Paradise. Speech: A believer avoids slander, cursing, and foul language. Manners: Part of good Islam is leaving what does not concern you. Qur’an recitation: Each letter brings ten rewards. Overall, the hadiths emphasize sincerity, following the Sunnah, sound faith, noble character, dhikr, and Qur’an recitation as pathways to perfecting one’s Islam.
